The Tooth Fairy and Christmas Dinner

12/27/08 Jia shows off her first tooth (and chocolate face)

Christmas Dinner-Jia is tired of waiting (when the butter doesn't even melt on the potatoes you know things are going to be ugly)

Merry Christmas!

and a Happy New Year!

Anna is the tooth fairy!!!!! Who knew????

Anna on the computer, intently monitoring the Jonas Brother site

Don't know how happy Tink is with his new friend Bella, but she decided to nap with him and give him a hug.

This is our 3rd tree, it is a Mexican theme, tin ornaments collected from Mexico and pointsettias, which are a Mexican flower.

Anna pre-straightener, she has dyed her hair blue and purple (washes out in a few showers) that is why it looks so dark in these pictures. She is such a ham and Katie refuses to allow me to take a picture of her.

Back again! We have been enjoying the last days of 2008. The big news: the tooth fairy finally arrived for Jia. Let me tell you she was less than impressed after Santa. I guess she is wondering who is going to show up next in the wee hours at our house. Will this lead to anxiety and therapy later on in life? ...lol

We have included some pictures of our Christmas night dinner. Not our best culinary effort. The rolls were good, everything else had a problem, but who cares we were together, we had fun and we had plenty of dessert.

The rest of the pictures are just Anna and I playing around with the camera. Thanks for looking.

"BEHOLD, I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY, WHICH SHALL BE TO ALL PEOPLE."
LUKE 2:10

First of all we would like to send all of our love to our families in Georgia, Arizona, Calgary and Pennsylvania on this most joyous of holidays. We wish we could be with each of you on this wonderful night.

Secondly, we would like to thank our Lord, Jesus Christ, for the most wonderful Christmas gift we ever received, two years ago, our littlest daughter Jia-Li.

That being said, let me tell you it was little Jia's night. One of our Christmas Eve traditions is to eat dinner at the Macaroni Grille. Why? I don't know, but we have been going there since Anna and Katie were very small.

Last year we went there and Santa and Mrs. Claus showed up for dinner. They come over to our table and Jia howled, she was terrified!

This year, same time, same place, same Santa and we couldn't get Jia away from him. She had to keep going back to his table, waving to him and pushed a grown man out of the way to give Mr. Claus a hug. That child wants to make sure the Hannah Montana guitar is under that tree. (hint: it will be)

Side story: Drew asked Jia today how Santa was going to get into our house as we don't have a chimney. Without skipping a beat and as calm as can be Jia replied "he has the key" and went right about her business!

Anna is like a big kid, she is probably going to be up all night trying to get me to let her open her gifts early. Katie takes the whole thing more in stride.

I have a bunch of cute pictures, I hope you enjoy them. Please visit the blog again tomorrow night to see how the festivites played out.

From our home and family to yours we wish you a blessed Christmas day and PEACE in the coming year.

Things are hopping around here...last minute wrapping with lots of help from little Jia, one more trip to the stores for Mom and Katie (YES! KATIE was shopping!!!!) Now we are baking for the neighbors and the MAN--Santa Claus.

A lot of you have received our Christmas card by now. I was quite happy with how my pictures turned out with my little digital camera. I thought I would give you a peek at some of the shots we didn't choose.

Tooth update: very wiggly but still hanging in there.

Or course, let us not forget the reason for all of the celebration and merriment in our household.

"GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND ON EARTH PEACE, GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN."
LUKE 2:14

Much Love to All...
