HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!
Today is Drew's birthday, but since it is a weekday and he had to do Driver's Ed, the girls and I decided to take him out last night. We went to Bahama Breeze and it rained so hard that the metal roof was leaking all over the place, but we had a fun time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO UNCLE DOUG FROM THE GIRLS AND YOUR FLORIDA FAMILY!

The Land of the Free & the Home of the Brave!
Jia's 4th of July. Drew took the kids over to Ellen's house for a great view of the fireworks that they shoot off a barge in the ocean.
Ellen has been very sick with an eye problem. She's doesn't really know what it is (maybe an infection) but she is absolutely miserable and can't even see to watch tv or read. She has been to see specialists and is hoping it gets better quickly as she has a trip to Ireland planned. Still, she braved the fireworks for a while with the family. We love her and hate that she is feeling so bad.

Smarty Pants!
Our girls just got their first college credits! Both Katie and Anna passed their Advanced Placement English Exams!
Most students do not pass any of these exams as they make it virtually impossible. (they still get high credits-a 6.0 on a 4.0 scale) but if the teacher doesn't teach EXACTLY what is on the exam and the kids don't study like crazy, it's not going to happen. Congratulations to Mrs. Carole Sheppard, their teacher, Katie's mentor, and in my opinion, the best teacher they ever had.
