Katie just finished volunteering at the Dan Marino Hospital Summer Camp. She was there 5 days a week from 7:30 a.m until 5:30 p.m. This camp is for kids who have mental handicaps. She worked with the hardest group, mainly non-verbal Autistic children. She didn't need anymore service hours to graduate with the silver cord for community service, but she did earn 181 hours and a beautiful letter of recommendation. We are so proud of her and her amazingly good heart.

Wow, what an undertaking. She must have learned so much. I was a special education aid for many years and I know how much patience it takes. Will she be going into education? Blessings
